Watermarks - The Art of Beatrice Bork and Carol Sanzalone

"Watermarks"
featuring Beatrice Bork and Carol Sanzalone
 September 10 - October 4, 2015
Opening Reception: Saturday, September 12, 2015, 4-8pm
Coffee & Conversation: Sunday, October 4, 2-4pm

Artists, Beatrice Bork and Carol Sanzalone, explore their passions about nature and life, through water media in "Watermarks" at Artists' Gallery on Bridge Street in Lambertville, NJ - from September 10 to October 4, 2015. The artists invite you to join them for the opening reception on Saturday, September 12 from 4 to 8pm and Coffee & Conversation on Sunday, October 4th from 2 to 4pm.

"Watermarks"- created with washes of color, layer upon layer, each building on thoughts, emotions and observations to create a visual moment that is personal and unique to each artist.

Beatrice Bork explores the intricacies of the animal world. "I enjoy the careful exploration and forethought that is required to create my paintings in watercolor". "A mixture of transparent and opaque watercolor provides me both a freeing and thoughtful way to portray my subjects." Beatrice translates her experiences and observations in nature, into a scenario or moment that reflects both subject as well as her own soul.

Carol Sanzalone is enamored with the color, texture and graphic beauty of nature and beyond. "I am fascinated by images as simple as a pile of leaves or group of petals, as well as the vast patterns of shapes and textures that enliven the countryside". A painting may develop from a realistic image, or from an experimental approach to the transparent quality of color and form that are unique to watercolor and acrylic washes and reflect the beauty of nature.

And don't forget - while we feature 2 artists each month,
