Luminous Landscapes - The Art of Joe Kazimierczyk and Alex McKibbin

"Luminous Landscapes"
featuring Joe Kazimierczyk and Alex McKibbin
  October 8 - November 1, 2015
Opening Reception: Saturday, October 10, 5-8pm

Watercolorist Alex McKibbin and oil painter Joe Kazimierczyk team up for their first show together this October at Artists' Gallery in Lambertville, NJ.

Two landscape painters, two very different styles. Kazimierczyk paints small scale works with oils in a style of traditional realism, while McKibbin paints large scale watercolors in a loose and expressive style. Together they present a very diverse way of looking at the landscape.

Painting professionally for 58 years, Alex McKibbin earned his B.F.A.s from The Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and the Tyler School of Fine Art, Temple University, and his M.F.A. at Claremont University at Claremont, California. When not in his studio, he taught Art History, painting and drawing at the collegiate level for three decades both here in the U.S. as well as Greece and Mexico.

His paintings and drawings have appeared in over 200 exhibitions locally, nationally and internationally. He has held two extensive one-man museum exhibitions in the States and in Mexico. McKibbin's work to date can be found in 31 public collections and in over 67 corporate collections.

Joe Kazimierczyk has earned his accolades as a self-taught artist and has been exhibiting his work extensively for over 10 years. If you're traveling our scenic area, you may see Joe in the field plein air painting, hiking the Sourlands or bicycling our winding rural roads. His love of the outdoors is apparent when viewing the intuitive insight in his landscape paintings.

Visit the event website for more information about this show.

And don't forget - while we feature 2 artists each month,
all 16 Artists' Gallery artists have work on display,
and there is always a wide variety of artwork to enjoy.
