Married to Art - Sheila and Ed Letven

Gallery artist Sheila Letven and her husband, Ed, will be the guest speakers at the Artsbridge members meeting on May 17th. Artsbridge is the area's premier arts organization and is dedicated to improving the public understanding of the arts in all the creative disciplines.

Ed and Sheila Letven who met at the University of the Arts have led successful and mutually supportive lives as a married couple. As artists their artistic approaches are very different. Each has a unique point of view, which has always been helpful in encouraging the others imagery.

Ed is a now a well-known painter and teacher of watercolor and oils, but spent many years in the advertising business he founded. He has only been showing his work since 2000 though he has been painting landscapes all of his life. Sheila was a printmaker who emerged as a multimedia artist and has been in many group and solo shows. She now exhibits in this region. Her work can be seen regularly at the Artists' Gallery.

Each will show computer projections of their work and describe their lives "married to art".

Their talk will given at 7 pm, May 17, 2007 at
