and Richard Harrington
August 10 to September 2, 2012
Opening reception: Saturday, August 11, 5-8 pm
Two artists converge at "Crossroads" in Lambertville - a show dedicated to the wanderers and explorers and all the varied paths they may follow.
Richard Harrington
"Philadelphia Alley"
watercolor
"I'm fascinated by the side streets and alleys that are removed from our main streets and thoroughfares," says Harrington, whose subject matter tends toward the urban. "These streets have so much to tell us about the past and present, if we would only take the time to stop and look, or travel down them and see what lies at the other end."
Paul Grecian
"Ocean Walk"
photograph
Grecian, who favors the natural world over the man-made, is more likely to be captivated by a hiking trail, a dune path, or a creek bed. "My goal" says Grecian, "is to instill in viewers of my photographs the sense they are walking outdoors and to allow them to engage mentally in exploring nature".
"Crossroads" will be on display at The Artists' Gallery in Lambertville Friday, August 10, through Sunday, September 2. An opening reception will be held Saturday, August 11, from 5 to 8 pm.
